Over the course of two weekends, I was invited to mentor a group in a poetry and image workshop in Alcains’ Cultural Museum Castelo Branco.
Alcains is the home town of Lusitana Factory - one of the main flour producers in Portugal. I decided to use this product as a plastic material.
In addition, a camera obscura was designed as an inspirational guideline.
Each participant was invited to create an artwork based on these two antagonistic concepts following references of artists and artworks that use either flour or the magic Obscura on their research. Below you find portraits of the participants together with some of their crafts.
